Microsoft have released new gameplay footage of Halo 3 running at 1080p/60fps on the Xbox One ahead of the release of Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
The footage posted on IGN shows gameplay from both single player and multiplayer and along with Halo 4, will not be getting the “Anniversary treatment” that Halo 1 and 2 are. IGN have also hinted at some upcoming footage from Halo 4 running on the Xbox One.
All game modes have been given the full 1080p/60fps treatment except Halo 2: Anniversary’s campaign which will instead run at 1328×1080 with 343 Industries’ executive producer Dan Ayoub stating:
“During development we were really pleased with the way the engine and buffer allowed us to switch instantly between classic and Anniversary engines that are running simultaneously – however that, as you might expect, put a hit on resolution”
Halo: The Master Chief Collection will be released exclusively on Xbox One on November 14. No word yet on any PC release with Halo 2 being the last to get the PC treatment.
