For those that have had the misfortune of hearing about Instagram’s “rich kid” Lavish Palso, also known as Param Sharma. He got a little too comfortable, and his downfall plays out like an episode of “When Keeping It Real Goes Wrong for Instagram’s Rich Kid.”

What exactly is he famous for again? Well, at the tender age of 18 he is known for his extreme notions of showing off on popular photo-sharing app, Instagram. The teenager often posted pictures of him flaunting money sprawled around his bed,  hand fulls of  iPhones, and other poses that would seemingly make you jealous.

Stolen iPhones

As you can guess, he receives a lot of criticism, and many people angrily comment on how big of a jerk he is. His routine reply has always been to remind them that he can’t help that  others aren’t as fortunate as he is. However, the news recently put a candy smile on many users faces as they heard that the cocky teenager was arrested for selling stolen iPhones. Why you asked would a “rich kid” be caught in such a conundrum? Well, apparently he had a lot of debt, even though he flaunted a lot of jewelry and other luxury goods, he was caught and arrested selling stolen iPhones on Craigslist.

The claims from his attorney is that the infamous rich kid of Instagram had never intended to sell the stolen phones, but instead was helping out a friend by creating the Craigslist listing for them. Even with all the pleas from him and his attorney, the judge saw fit to believe that Sharma aka Richie Rich didn’t make any attempts necessary to finding the rightful owner, and should be considered guilty. The court set his bond at $30,000, even at the protest of his attorney who believed that for the low-level crime, the bond is too high.

Jail Not So Glamorous

New reports are detailing that Sharma won’t be posting any pictures on Instagram for a while as he was sentenced to 90 days in jail. For most of the time period he is at a psych ward, and will later be transferred to a normal prison population. His attorney however doesn’t feel that the punishment is warranted in such a low-level crime, so he has filed an additional plea.

Even though, this happen a week ago, it is still like sweet karma to most people, as the news of his arrest went viral instantly. Sharma is the kid that is constantly sharing how rich of life he has. But it is ironic that the kid who craves the limelight to show off his “riches” is gaining media attention for his stupidity. Hopefully, this is a lesson learned.
