Kevin Spacey Tweets Picture from Set of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare

by GH Staff

Obviously, the biggest news of the last two weeks was the announcement trailer for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. Since then, there have been little tidbits leaked, but nothing as exciting as that initial announcement. For instance, a few days ago developers leaked that Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will be a ‘pure next-gen‘ game. This means that it is being developed with the PS4 and Xbox One in mind: unlike Ghosts, which was created for the PS3 and Xbox 360 and later ported to the next generation. But mostly this information was there to tease the fans until the inevitable multiplayer proclamation.

With that said, Kevin Spacey decided twitter would be the next best platform to appease fans; late last night, the actor tweeted a picture of himself in a motion capture suit.

This picture comes at no surprise because the announcement trailer showed that they would be using Spacey’s likeness, as well as, his voice for the supposed villain Jonathan Irons. While the character is somewhat shrouded in mystery, we know that he is the CEO of Atlas Corporation: a private military force. And if anyone watched the trailer and listened, Spacey’s character has a distinct geopolitical vision; lets just hope that Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare uses Kevin Spacey to establish a distinct villain, which is something the series has been lacking. Some could make the argument that Raul Menendez was a fully fleshed out miscreant; however, being the best antagonist thus far, does not make him a good villain.

For all who do not know, Kevin Spacey is a highly regarded actor who is currently on the critically renowned series House of Cards. On top of that, he has won two Academy Awards for his supporting role in The Usual Suspects and a leading role in 1999s American Beauty. Personally, I cannot wait to see how Sledgehammer uses him in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. Either way, we all shall see on November 4, when it is released for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, Ps3, and PC.
