Nintendo 2DS Peach Pink Edition Available For Pre-Order

Nintendo 2DS "Peach Pink" Edition

While the Nintendo 3DS has been a successful handheld console, some users and potential fans were complaining about the 3D feature causing eye-strain and headaches. As a less expensive alternative, Nintendo released the Nintendo 2DS towards the end of last year. While it still plays 3DS games, the 2DS completely lacks the telescopic/stereoscopic 3D feature. This variation is also one solid piece, not a clamshell handheld like its counterpart and the GameBoy Advance SP.

While Japan seems to have many more themed handhelds than the rest of the world- the Metal Gear Solid themed 3DS comes to mind- GameStop has begun taking pre-orders on a limited edition “Peach Pink” Nintendo 2DS. The color scheme title may be a little misleading, as the Peach Pink model comes with a Disney Magical World carrying case. While this isn’t a console-and-game bundle, both the limited edition Nintendo 2DS and the North American release of Disney Magical World will release on April 11. Disney Magical World features several different realms from such films and animations as Aladdin, Cinderella, Winnie the Pooh; players are charged with the task of building and managing their own cafe, and will interact with over 60 different characters from across the Disney universe.

Like the “normal” 2DS, the Peach Pink bundle will run at $129.99, with Disney Magical World releasing for $29.99 as a digital copy (Nintendo eShop) and $34.99 for a physical one.
