Typically after a Nintendo Direct, the video of the direct will be available to be watched on both the WiiU and 3DS eShops. However, with all the content they produced at E3, nobody expected all of it to be available on the eShops. Nintendo has gone above and beyond, and uploaded all of their videos from E3 to both system’s eShops. That’s over 100 videos… an immense amount of content.
The videos include the main Direct Event footage, as well as all trailers for games released over the course of the event, and all of the treehouse stream footage. In addition, there are highlight videos of footage from the Smash Bros invitational. The list of videos is huge, and some of the videos are only available on the WiiU eShop or the 3DS eShop. However, most of the videos are ones that have already been uploaded to Nintendo’s Youtube page.
If you’d like to watch a specific video on your console however, Nintendo247 has a good list of all the videos available, broken down by which eShop they are available on.
My personal highlights for videos to watch are:
- Highlights from the Smash Bros Invitational (3DS)
- The main digital event (3DS)
- All of the Treehouse footage Yoshi’s Wooly World and Splatoon especially (WiiU)
