However, it doesn’t feel more solid in the hand, instead gives off a cheap plastic feel and is pretty difficult to use with one hand. When it comes to specifications, the Moto G features a Quad-Core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 processors and Adreno 305 GPU backed up by Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset and 1 GB of RAM.
Display & Sound
For a mid-range smartphone the Motorola Moto G has an astounding display. The 4.5 inch screen has an overall pixel density of about 326 ppi making its resolution size about 720 x 1280 pixels. Although not clearly visible under bright daily sunlight because of its glossy finish, mixed with the clear and robust sound the device is able to provide with a great multimedia experience.
Camera
The camera on the Motorola Moto G is enough to let your capture moments from your everyday life with a great quality, perfect for sharing through any social network. Being 5MP in size it only offers video recording at 720p and 30FPS, but the videos are perfect for any video enthusiast, because of its HDR and video stabilization features that further enhance the quality. Moreover, the secondary camera of 1.3MP makes video conferencing possible.
Battery Life
When it comes to battery life, the non-removable Li-Ion 2070 mAh may seem as a setback, but it gives the Motorola Moto G an overall endurance when in standby mode of over 370 hours as well as 7 hours of battery life when used extensively and up to 24 hours of talk time.
Overall
The Motorola Moto G, despite being released over seven months ago, is a worthy competitor on the today’s mobile market. Although its specifications are not impressive, they are enough to let your enjoy any multimedia experience on its great display. Moreover, its camera and video recording capabilities and decent battery life make it a perfect companion to every occasion.

Despite being released over 3 months ago, the Nokia Lumia is an amazing smartphone and is one of the most-selling mid-range smart devices on the mobile market today. However, could it compare with the Motorola Moto G that was released a few months earlier, when it comes to a price to specifications ratio?
Design & Specifications
The Nokia Lumia 525 is a beautifully designed smartphone that continues the Lumia tradition of colorfulness. Being 4.72 x 2.52 x 0.3 inches in size it is smaller than the Moto G and with its 124 grams it is easy to get used to and overall perfect to use with one hand. The Microsoft Windows Phone 8 Black Lumia 525 features a not-as-powerful Dual-Core 1GHz processor, but the CPU is backed up by an Adreno 305 GPU, Qualcomm chipset and 1 GB of RAM.
Display & Sound
Although it is difficult to see under daylight, because of its glossy finish, much like the Moto G, the display featured on the Nokia Lumia 525 has a nice color density and delivers a fine multimedia experience. However, being 4.0 inches, its 233 ppi pixel density makes its resolution size only 480 x 800 pixels.
Camera
Even though the Nokia Lumia 525 features a 5MP camera much like the Moto G, the photo quality is not as good, featuring a lot of noise, mainly because of the lack of certain features including HDR. Although 720p at 30FPS the video recording quality is not that great as well, lacking both HDR and video stabilization and as the Lumia 525 doesn’t feature a secondary camera video conferencing on the device is not possible.
Battery Life
Seemingly a setback, the Li-Ion 1430 mAh battery featured on the Nokia Lumia 525 helps the device withstand over 5 hours of extensive use and as much as 340 hours in standby mode. Moreover, the symbiosis between the software and hardware let the smartphone endure 48 hours of music play and 10 hours of talk time.
Overall
Even though it may seem that the Nokia Lumia 525 and the Motorola Moto G are equally good smartphones, the display quality, the raw hardware power and the camera make the Moto G far better. However, having in mind the low price of the Lumia 525, when it comes to a price to specifications ratio it all comes down to whether you’d like to spend a few bucks more and whether you prefer Windows Mobile OS or Android, as both smartphones offer great specifications for the price at which they are offered through various retailers.
