Official Trailer for Battlefield Hardline Reveals Release Date

Battlefield Hardline

Battlefield Hardline has been getting a recent push by the rampant curiosity of gamers; since its unintentional announcement, fans have been attempting to learn everything that there is about the latest in the famous first person shooter.

Well a few days a go, a seven minute gameplay trailer leaked, but was quickly taken off of Youtube (though you can still view it at GameSpot). According to sources, this seven minute preview was actually six months old and allegedly the developers felt that this ‘old video’ did not adequately show off their game: if you want a breakdown of this footage with plenty of details, read our previous coverage on Battlefield Hardline. With that said, the footage could not have been that old because brief snippets of the old preview is used in the new teaser that was leaked last night.

Now, this short teaser appears to reveal the single player story, which has never been the series’ strong suit; yet, the violence and explosions look gorgeous and the ‘cops and robbers’ angle looks ‘sort of’ refreshing. But what is extremely cool about the trailer is the reveal during the final title screen: first, Battlefield Hardline will be released on October 21. And second, the end tells the viewer to go to Battlefield.com/hardline; at the site, previous speculation is confirmed and the game will be unveiled at EA’s E3 conference, which will be on June 9 at 12:00 P.M. PDT.

Now, at this point EA has not revealed which systems Battlefield Hardline will be on; however, my guess is for the Xbox One, PS4, PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. Either way, the general public will find out at EA’s press conference. Battlefield Hardline is being actively developed by Visceral Games, with some additional work being done by DICE themselves.

The game looks absolutely gorgeous.
