The PS Vita has recently been unavailable to purchase at many major local retailers. The reason for the Vita’s unavailability was given in a statement from Sony saying that the PS Vita is in high demand and they are trying there best to keeping up with the production of units. Some people are wondering who is really buying a Vita. Well the attach rate for PS4 users who own a Vita is pretty high. With that said a great number of PS4 owners are actually buying a Vita somewhere down the line after getting there PS4’s. While other people are just purchasing a Vita for the games that are available.
Another reason why the PS Vita is doing well apparently is that friends of PS Vita owners are buying a Vita as well to play with their friends. Vita has a great catalog of titles to play with friends that continues to grow as the year goes by. So the Vita is not a failing device it has quite a number of owners and it will continue to grow throughout its life span on store shelves.
There are a multitude of great games coming to the Vita that will sell many units and titles this year, and don’t forget about using the Vita to play all of your PS4 titles. Sony has made sure that this functionality is working properly so PS4 owners can get the most out of there Vita’s. Also to be released this year is PlayStation Now for the Vita which will finally allow me to play The Last Of Us on the go and many other PS3 titles anywhere where a Wi-fi or 4G mobile hotspot is available.
