With the amount of mobile phones available on the market today, it can definitely be confusing when it comes to purchasing a new handset – how can you be sure that the new models have all the features that you want? Well, throughout this article we’ll be reviewing three fairly new devices: the Huawei Ascend P7, Lumia 1320, and the Oppo Find 7.
Huawei Ascend P7
Huawei is a trustworthy brand and has just released a new model known as the Ascend P7 – there are some great features on this phone and it’s definitely one to consider if you are on the search for a new handset.
Specifications – This phone is fairly high performance and has an ARM Cortex-A9 quad core 1800 MHz processor, alongside 16GB of built in storage and 2GB of RAM.
Design – This phone has a nice design and the screen doesn’t take up the whole space of the phone which is a nice change, it is fairly slim and of average weight. You’ll also benefit from the large 5 inch screen size.
Camera – The camera is perhaps one of the best aspects of this phone. It has both a rear-facing and front-facing camera which are 13-megapixels and 8-megapixels respectively.
Battery – The battery capacity on this handset is 2500 mAh which will allow you to leave the phone on standby for around 17 to 18 days.
OS – The device runs on the Android 4.4.2 operating system alongside the Emotion 2.3 UI.
Price – You can find this handset for around $400 to $450, not too expensive for the features that you are getting.
Lumia 1320
Nokia is definitely a big brand in regards to mobile phones and has released reliable devices continuously – they are definitely trustworthy, but lets take a look at the features that you’ll find with the Lumia 1320.
Specifications – A decent performance phone but nothing too major, you’ll find a Krait 300 processor which is dual core and 1700 MHz.
Design – The phone has a very minimalistic design and the vast majority of the phone is basically the screen. The screen size is a whole 6 inches.
Camera – The rear-facing camera on this phone isn’t very good as it’s only 0.3-megapixels, however the standard camera is 5-megapixels which isn’t too bad.
Battery – This device has a huge battery that has a capacity of 3400 mAh. Allowing you to keep the phone on standby for approximately 28 days!
OS – This phone runs on Windows 8, which is quite rare as many phones now run on the Android OS.
Price – You can generally find this phone for around $300 to $350, a mid-range price tag.
Oppo Find 7
The Oppo Find 7 might not be as popular a model as some of the other devices such as the ones brought out my Samsung and Apple – but it definitely still a brilliant device with a lot of features. We’ll go into these in more detail below.
Specifications – This phone is very high performance and has a Krait 400 quad core 2500 MHz processor, alongside 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
Design – The design is probably one of the best aspects of this phone, it has a sleek design and truly conveys a sense of luxury. It also features a 5.5 inch screen and a very high resolution.
Camera – You’ll benefit from top of the range camera features; the phone has both a rear-facing and a front-facing camera which are 13-megapixels and 5-megapixels respectively.
Battery – The device has a 3000 mAh battery which is a huge capacity and will definitely allow you to keep the phone on for quite some time.
OS – This device runs on Android 4.3.
Price – The Find 7 is quite pricey at $500 to $600 but it’s fair to say that this is a reasonable price for such a well-designed device with a lot of features.
Conclusion
All the three of the devices listed above are very solid options but the best would have to be the Oppo Find 7 if you can afford the extra bit of money. The other two are also very good options, but they are severely lacking in many places making them an unreasonable choice for the majority of people.
