Rockstar Games has been supporting Grand Theft Auto V‘s online mode with occasional content updates, such as the recently released “I’m Not a Hipster” update. However, fans have been eagerly waiting for details about Online Heists and Rockstar has just confirmed the mode has been delayed.
Although no official details about online heists have been disclosed, it’s assumed they’ll be done in the style of GTA V‘s story heists: deciding whether to be strategic or go in with guns blazing, hiring specialists to assist with the mission, and completing other objectives to finish the heist. Once the heist is complete, a portion of the cash earned is paid to the hired experts while the rest of the money is split between all players.
Rockstar acknowledges heists were scheduled to be out this spring while explaining the mode is taking longer than expected to complete. Unfortunately, Rockstar did not provide a new potential release window for heists but encourages GTA fans to keep an eye on their Newswire blog for new details.
