Design & Specifications
Just a little bigger than a modern watch, the Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch is quite visually appealing. Harnessing the power of a Single-core 800 MHz ARM processor, an Exynos chipset and as much as 512 MB of RAM the device is running Android OS, making the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Gear bundle, quite the powerful Android combination. However, currently there are quite a few applications for the smartwatch, thus not harnessing its true potential.
Display
The smartwatch features a 1.6 inch display with overall pixel density about 275 ppi that makes its resolution size 320 x 320 pixels. Even though at first the watch seems huge when put on the wrist, it is actually quite easy to carry around and the featured camera 1.9 MP camera that is able to record videos at 720p is quite the nice touch.
Battery Life
One of the huge setbacks of the smartwatch is its poor battery life. When connected with the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, the Gear is dies in about 3 to 4 hours, because of its 315 mAh battery.

However, especially compared to its successor, the Galaxy Gear just don’t have enough battery life or the proper application to make it the innovative smartwatch the mobile market so desperately needs.
