Super Smash Bros 3DS ships 1 million copies in its first week and Nintendo apologies to banned Peach players
Despite only being released a week ago in Japan, Nintendo of Japan is proud to announce that Super Smash Bros 3DS has sold 1 million since launch.
Super Smash Bros. 3DS ships 1 million copies in its first week, so you’d think Little Mac would be happier.
Reported by CVG, the only other three games to sale more than 1 million games in Japan are Monster Hunter 4, Pokemon X/Y and Yo-Kai Watch 2.
Nintendo distributed demo’s for the game to US Club Nintendo Platinum members on Tuesday, but they have announced that the demo will be released worldwide on September 19th, so all gamers outside Japan will be able to give the latest entry in the Smash Bros. series.
Finally, Nintendo has also had to apologise to a number of players who were wrongfully banned for playing as Peach. These players were banned after they discovered a glitch that let them use Peach’s down B to throw turnips at players in the ‘For Glory’ online battle mode, where items are banned.
While players who abused this glitch were rightfully banned, other normal Peach players were banned too and they’re the players that Nintendo are apologising too.
Super Smash Bros. 3DS has shipped 1 million copies in Japan since its release on Saturday, and Nintendo will be releasing the previously Club Nintendo Platinum demo this Friday. Will you download the demo this Friday?
