In gaming, super moves need to be the flashiest, coolest, and sickest looking attacks in the entire game. If there’s another move that the player can pull off or that an enemy can do that’s cooler than the super move, there’s a problem. But from the looks of it, Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS did fantastic with the final smashes for both new and old characters.
So, just to highlight some of the best ones, I’ve decided to start with the series’ most popular newcomer (Whom I am a huge fan of myself), Mega Man. He’s a new edition to the Super Smash Bros. world and he unsurprisingly fits really good with their established cast and style. His moves are based off of the special abilities that he obtains in the games from the Robot Masters, but there’s one move that stands out among the rest.
Mega Man’s final smash has to be one of the most creative and coolest final smashes I’ve ever seen. It was fantastic to see him join the series and he plays amazingly, but on top of all that, he even summons the rest of the Mega Men to aid him in his final smash. There’s Mega Man X, MegaMan.EXE, Mega Man Volnutt, and Geo Stelar all line up in one hardcore crossover!
But then, there’s Charizard.
He’s an icon in the Nintendo community as well as a mascot for the Pokemon franchise (well, if you’re reading this you most likely know who he is). In his standard orange, awesome, dragon-like attire, he is a fire breathing pokemon that has been a fan favorite for years. But now, with his new Mega Charizard X form, Nintendo has upped the ante to a whole different level. Super Smash Bros. hasn’t ignored this and as a treat for us players, Charizard’s final smash attack is a transformation into his Mega X form.
