The Wolf Among Us Episode 2 Releases This Week

by GH Staff

It has been four long months since TellTale Games launched the first episode of The Wolf Among Us, and to say that players have been hungry for more is an understatement. While reported earlier last month that episode 2 would be available in February, consider this post as a reminder that the release of the second episode is indeed this week.

The second episode, entitled ‘Smoke & Mirrors,’ will release on the PC, Mac, and PlayStation 3 in North America on Feb. 4 while European PlayStation and Xbox 360 players will be able to purchase the game on Feb. 5. For those that prefer to play the game on iOS? It will be released next week.

Based on the Fables graphic novels by Bill Willingham, The Wolf Among Us takes place around the middle of the 1980’s – 30 years before the events of the first issues in Fables. Starring Sheriff Bigby Wolf (the reformed Big Bad Wolf from fairy tale lore), The Wolf Among Us takes place in Fabletown where a tyrant known as the Adversary has occupied many of the lands described in folklore, myths, and legends (i.e. fairy tales we grew up with). Many of the captivating characters that star in these fairy tales (known as fables) escaped the clutches of the Adversary’s armies and regime and created a community known as Fabletown in colonial America. These fables also possess enchantments known as ‘glamour’ that allow them to blend in with our world, and if they don’t? They are sent to ‘The Farm’ courtesy of Bigby Wolf himself.

TellTale Games has been around for a long time, yet they didn’t hit their stride until the first season of The Walking Dead began in 2012, concluding in 2013. For many, it became one of the most powerful experiences in gaming, and The Wolf Among Us appears to be continuing that trend of gaming greatness.

If you haven’t checked out the first episode of The Wolf Among Us, be sure that you do, then check out the second episode later this week. Chances are you will be glad that you did!
