Witcher 3 will Have No Exclusive Content for any Platform

In an interview with Eurogamer, CD Projekt co-founder Marcin Iwiński explained that the developer will not offer exclusive content for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to each platform that it’ll release on.

Instead, the studio will be typically treating all of its consumers as equals, meaning that whoever buys the game for whatever platform will receive the same experience in terms of content. What’s more, CD Projekt will not be artificially delaying the game’s release on a specific platform, as doing so would contradict the studio’s values.

We are treating all gamers equally,” Iwiński told Eurogamer. “We’ll not deliver exclusive content to any of the platforms, nor will we artificially delay release of the game on any of the platforms because somebody’s paying us money for that. It’s definitely against our values. We are not doing that.

Iwiński continued on to tease that CD Projekt would showcase what its plans are in terms of marketing cooperation at this year’s E3, which is just around the corner on Tuesday, June 10 through to Thursday, June 12.

Recently, Iwiński also explained what differences The Wicther 3: Wild Hunt may have between the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One, reassuring that the developer is still working hard to ensure The Witcher 3 runs to the best it can on each console, so much so that Iwiński doesn’t really think that there will be that much a difference in the end.
