SCS On The Road Looks Back at Gamescom 2026

SCS Software published the latest episode of its SCS On The Road video series on October 4, 2026. The episode is titled “Gamescom 2026 Aftermovie,” and the studio uses it to take a look back at how its time at this year’s Gamescom went. SCS Software is the developer of Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator, the studio’s two long-running truck-driving simulators, and it shared the announcement through the Euro Truck Simulator 2 Steam community.

Six PC Stations and Five Upcoming DLCs

SCS Software once again took part in Gamescom 2026, which was held in Cologne, Germany at the end of August. The booth included six PC stations and two of the studio’s 4D Motion Simulators. Fans could use those stations to get hands-on previews of five upcoming DLCs, namely Coaches, Road Trip: Ford, Iceland, South Dakota, and British Columbia. The studio called the brand-new Volvo FH Series 6 100 Year Edition the cherry on top of the booth, and Volvo Trucks brought the truck along to display it.

Five Days of Visitors and Content Creators

Over the five-day show, SCS Software welcomed a huge number of visitors and content creators who came to try out the upcoming DLCs. The studio wrote that it was incredibly happy that so many people could make it to the booth and meet the team there. The five DLCs are all upcoming, and the booth gave fans a hands-on look at each of them. The aftermovie walks viewers through how the studio’s Gamescom adventure went, from the playable stations to the Volvo truck on display. At the end of the post, the studio pointed viewers to its X/Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Bluesky, and TikTok accounts, or its newsletter, to receive updates on upcoming projects and future SCS On The Road episodes. The studio closed the post with a farewell, telling viewers it will see them on the road next time.

GamerHeadlines has covered the wider driving-sim genre as well, including the September Xbox launch of Used Cars Simulator, a car-trading sandbox from Dreamway Games and PlayWay S.A.
