Gaijin Entertainment has adjusted the monthly decal format for October to match the Halloween season. The set includes skulls, ghosts, and a black cat. The Red Devils hull art was kept generalized so it fits many tank hulls, not just the Sherman. The set also includes examples of WW1 aircraft art that cannot be placed historically.
The Tiefseefisch emblem returns from the first event. It was previously only available for Golden Eagles and can now be unlocked by completing a regular task. Decals are available from October 12 at 11:00 GMT until November 12 at 09:00 GMT. All tasks can be completed using vehicles that are rank III or higher.
First Group: WW1 Aircraft Markings
The first group includes the Personal Marking of Kazimir Rudzit and the SPA 91 Emblem for France. Players can defeat 50 players while using Soviet aircraft and earn 15,000 score while using French aircraft.
The Rudzit marking belonged to Kazimir Andreevich Rudzit of the 15th Reconnaissance Aviation Detachment, Red Military Air Fleet. He flew 23 combat and reconnaissance missions in 1919 and once carried out an attack mission while holding a 25 lb bomb in his lap. The marking depicts Death riding a scythe and holding a red ribbon, along with a pair of dragonflies.
The SPA 91 emblem comes from French Escadrille SPA 91, formed in spring 1917. The squadron finished the war with six confirmed victories and was dissolved on July 9, 1919.
Second Group: Tank Hull Art and Squadron Emblems
The second group offers the Rice’s Red Devils hull art, the Black Cat Squadron Emblem Type 1, and the 337th Squadron Ghost tail art. Tasks include finishing in the top three three times with American ground vehicles, playing 20 battles with Chinese aircraft at a minimum of 60 percent Battle Activity, and defeating 20 players with missiles while flying Greek or Israeli aircraft.
The Rice’s Red Devils art comes from Company C, 89th Medium Tank Battalion, 25th Infantry Division, U.S. Army, activated in Korea in 1950. The company painted a monster face on its hulls on a deep red base. The Black Cat Squadron emblem is from ROCAF’s 35th Squadron, which flew U-2 spy planes from 1961 to 1974.
The Ghost tail art comes from the Hellenic Air Force’s 337th All Weather Squadron, established in 1948. It initially flew Spitfires and later became the first Hellenic squadron to fly jets, the T-33 and F-84G.
The October decals arrive amid other recent War Thunder community activity, including the Lightfooted screenshot competition that opened this week and a test for the updated Southeastern City map in the Nuclear Escalation mode.
