Here in the west, as well as the majority of the rest of the world, Bungie’s upcoming Sci-Fi shooter, Destiny, will be releasing in just a few months to both Xbox and Playstation consoles. But, in Japan, this is not the case. Sony announced that Destiny will release exclusively on PlayStation consoles in Japan. So, if you live in Japan, and plan on picking Destiny up for an Xbox console when it releases on September 11th, you’re most likely going to have to switch to a PS3 or PS4.
Destiny is most likely a PlayStation exclusive in Japan because on top of the fact that Xbox is simply not very popular in Japan, the Xbox One doesn’t even release until September 4th.
With this information, Bungie, the developers behind the Xbox exclusive franchise, are developing a PlayStation exclusive game!
It is still not known if Destiny will simply be a timed exclusive for PlayStation in Japan, or if it is actually a full on exclusive.
