Destiny Planet View

Bungie’s highly anticipated online multiplayer shooter, Destiny, is set to release next week on September 9th.

Presumably to give gamers even more reason to drool over the prospect of playing the game, Bungie has released a video detailing Destiny‘s Planet View feature.

Destiny Planet View will give gamers access to Google’s exploration tools to aid in the exploration of Destiny‘s planets, including Mars, Venus, and the moon.

In execution, Destiny Planet view is akin to Google Maps’ Street View. This is the first time the tool has been used to map a video game world.

Additionally, Destiny Planet View will also allow gamers to peruse through a variety of literature focused on delivering lore on the world of Destiny, tips on gameplay, and even access to in-game and real world rewards. If you want to learn more about the feature, visit the official website here.
