And this is where I’d drop the bomb you saw coming from a mile away; Destiny has a not-so-subtle Master Chief reference in-game.
We all know what Destiny is, do we not? We all know that it was made by Bungie, do we not? Well, surprise surprise, Bungie made a reference to Master Chief in their recently-slain sacred cow Destiny.

Let’s be real though, what would surprise you more- a Master Chief reference in Destiny or the lack of one? Not putting a Master Chief shout-out in this game, given the fact that Halo is Bungie’s sole claim to fame (no, guy in the comments- MYST doesn’t count), would be outright shocking. It would be like Nintendo announcing the death of the Mario franchise and never talking about him again. It would be like Capcom announcing the death of the Mega Man franchise and- oh wait, that already happened, didn’t it?
