BlackBerry hasn’t been doing so well for itself, but that isn’t stopping the Canada based company from moving forward, and it looks like they are developing a voice assistant. These leaks come from both N4BB and ZonaBlackBerry. BlackBerry isn’t the only latecomer to the game, with Microsoft also developing such software for their Windows Phone platform. A leaked test build version of the new BlackBerry firmware (10.3.0.140) shows that an app, named “Intelligent Assistant” is included, however it doesn’t seem to work as of yet.
For now, it’s unclear how deep BlackBerry is intending to integrate the software, or if they will even release it. Let’s hope they do, and that they’re not dragging behind Google, Apple, and maybe even Microsoft, because I’m sure that’s the last thing BlackBerry needs right now.
Below is a clip, showing some of the new features from this build, and be sure to check out the sources for more info on this.
