Today, Nintendo announced on their American Twitter page that the Mario Kart 8 Mercedes Benz DLC will release this summer in the United States. This was originally a Japan exclusive DLC. We do not have an official release date for this Mario Kart DLC yet, but the tweet claims that more information will be release soon.

We’re planning to release a GLA-Class kart from @Mercedesbenz for #MK8 this summer. Stay tuned for more info!
For those of you who don’t know, on the release of Mario Kart 8, Nintendo announced a partnership with Mercedes Benz, showing this commercial. With this announcement, a DLC kart for Mario Kart 8 was released. The kart itself was based off of the Mercedes Benz GLA. This was originally only available in Japan, and it was expected to stay this way.
