Today is a pretty good day for Halo fans. To start us off, IGN has put out footage of Halo: Combat Evolved running at 1080p and 60 fps. This video can be seen here.

The video shows off both Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary(Campaign) and the original Halo: Combat Evolved(Multiplayer). Both look fairly good for the age, with Halo: CEA shining in particular.

IGN First has chosen Halo: The Master Chief Collection for their game of the month, so expect more news from them until the end of October. My previous articles about Halo news from IGN First can be seen here and here.

Next, 343 gave the Halo Waypoint website a massive overhaul, making it look more similar to the upcoming Halo Channel Xbox One app. You can visit the new and improved Halo Waypoint here. But, this update isn’t the full thing, according to Bravo’s post.

Along with the updated look of the site, user profiles have been updated, and a new “Community Landing” page has been added.

And finally, the final bit of Halo new. Brand new Halo 2 Anniversary Cinematic screenshots. We got brand new images of The Arbiter, Lord Hood, and The Prophet of Truth. Each can be seen below.

As you can see, Blur has done some amazing work on Halo 2’s cutscenes. Each of these shots are simply remarkable in how detailed each character looks.

But, what do you guys think? Are you excited for Halo: CE in 1080p and 60 fps on Xbox One? What do you think of Halo Waypoint’s new look? Which of the new screenshots is your favorite? Leave your thoughts below. And remember, stay tuned to Gamer Headlines for all of your Halo and gaming news!
