How to Get Golden Walnuts & What They Do
Golden Walnuts are used to bribe the island’s parrots, which unlocks fast travel, new farming areas, the Island Resort, and access to the Volcano Dungeon forge. Here are the major milestones:
- 100 Walnuts (Qi’s Walnut Room): Required to open Qi’s Walnut Room. However, the first Golden Walnut is not counted toward the Walnut Room unlock and therefore players effectively need to have found 101 total walnuts before the door will open for you.
- 116 Walnuts: The exact amount required to purchase all parrot upgrades and repairs across the entire island.
- 130 Walnuts: Required to achieve 100% True Perfection.
The Golden Joja Parrot (1.6 Update): If you are completely stuck on your last few walnuts, the 1.6 update introduced the Golden Joja Parrot. It is located west of the Volcano entrance. You can pay this parrot 10,000g for each unfound Golden Walnut. It will purchase/find all your remaining missing walnuts, and they will be added to your total after sleeping.
