The promotion brings an in-game reward, a limited-edition merch drop, and what Xbox Wire calls a new way to gear up for Emergence Day.
How to unlock the Chainsaw Flex content pack
Buying Liquid Death Energy at Amazon, Target, Walmart, Instacart, or Kroger unlocks an in-game content pack for Gears of War: E-Day. The pack is headlined by Chainsaw Flex, a Legendary animated pose that can be equipped on any playable character. According to Xbox Wire, the pack also includes a Liquid Death-branded in-game banner, emblem, and icon.
To claim the pack, players head to liquiddeath.com/freechainsaws, connect their retailer account through the digital reward landing page, then purchase Liquid Death Energy through that retailer online or in store. Xbox Wire states that the offer runs in the U.S. only, from September 22 through November 30, 2026, and the announcement lists only those five participating retailers. Because the offer is U.S. only, players outside the United States are not eligible for the Chainsaw Flex reward or the digital claim process through the participating retailers. No additional retailers or regions are named in the announcement.
Liquid Death Energy and the chainsaw pint glass
Xbox Wire describes Liquid Death Energy as an easy-drinking energy drink with 5 calories, zero sugar, and 100mg of caffeine, which it calls “unextreme caffeine.” The drink purchase is the path to the in-game content pack, while the pint glass is a separate limited-edition item.
On September 23, 2026, the limited-edition Liquid Death x Gears of War: E-Day chainsaw pint glass drops for $25. The pint glass is part of the limited-edition merch drop tied to the collaboration.
