Ancient Lands portals in Yellow Zones are now much more frequent after Sandbox Interactive released Albion Online’s Dragonfire Patch 3 on October 12, 2026. Small Yellow Zone portal spawn times drop from an average of 45 minutes to 15.5 minutes, while the chance a region sees one rises from 25 percent to 33 percent. Lock time falls from 15 minutes to 5 minutes, and the window to enter after unlocking increases from 8 minutes to 10 minutes. To protect the economy, fame and loot in these Yellow Zone Small Portals are reduced by 30 percent.
Small Portals in Red and Black Zones keep their high rewards. Their region appearance chance rises from 25 percent to 33 percent, and their entry window widens from 8 minutes to 10 minutes. Large Portals now appear 50 percent more often and are more likely to appear during prime times, while Medium and Large Portal rewards remain unchanged. Ancient Lands mob health and damage are also lower: 10 percent for Small and Medium Portals and 20 percent for Large Portals.
Maeve Fight and Open-World Dragons
In the Dragon Sanctuary, the Maeve fight receives several adjustments. Below 40 percent health, Maeve now summons two additional boulders instead of three, for a maximum of five instead of six. Primal Dragon Flame normal damage is reduced from 1250 to 1150, and the time between Storm Spire appearances increases from 45 seconds to 55 seconds. Sandbox Interactive also fixed a rare double-hit on Boulder Charge.
Open-world Dragons no longer fully heal when they reset. They now recover to the last 20 percent health threshold, so a Dragon reset at 72 percent health resumes at 80 percent. Might rewards from open-world Dragons are increased by 150 percent.
Mobile Targeting and Additional Changes
Mobile players gain new targeting modes: All, Enemies, Party, Allies, and Automatic. These are disabled by default and toggled in the HUD. A new Double Tap to Self-Cast option is enabled by default. Dragonfire Patch 3 also includes a seven-day Fame and loot boost in the Dragon Sanctuary and the Ancient Lands, combat balance changes across many weapons and armor, and various bug fixes.
The latest Dragonfire changes arrive after earlier Albion Online content such as the Keepers update and Dragonfire Patch 2.
